For me I guess I felt like we were treated just like one of those less scrupulous individuals that you made mention of and that was like adding salt to the wound because we really had good intentions in going. Long live the GCEBC and I hope I can enjoy this event in future years. You re a title holder now, keep practicing because you never know who will come and eat that title out from under you! Best wishes for the year to come in reality camp and see you in 08!

Our statement was based on what my wife and I perceived were the intentions of the security detail. It was not intended to suggest that your motives were other than what you stated. As you stated, we were not with you, and we do not know you. Our statement was intended to suggest that the motivations of the security detailed may have been for the good of the event and for all that participated. Based on your experience and that of Star, it looks like those apparent good intentions were poorly implemented on at least some occasions. BTW, we thank you for your congratulation to us. Perhaps next year your experience and that of your girlfriend at GCBEC will be as fun and exacting as our was.

If the GCBEC happens in 08', and I have no reason to believe that it won't, it is my feeling that two separate couples complaining about the same issue needs our attention. It is a little early to start on 08', but I for one am willing to do whatever it takes to make certain that the participants and those waiting in line are comfortable and treated with respect. Without those factors, this event will vanish into history. My first suggestion would be a "greeter" at the door. Naturally SHE would have a backup person. I have an idea of someone who would be perfect for the job. Sunshine, I think you know who she is. Lets work on this.

We felt the same. That guy was a tool. End of story. He almost didn't let us in, and we won "Master Bate and Tickle" last year. He was gruff, not welcoming, and made an obviously very nervous couple standing behind us even more nervous. I (obviously) don't mind "showin' the Beav'" off to anyone, but maybe not on 4:30 to some 50 year old creepy-acting guy with a headlamp... maybe when one gets in the tent would be more appropriate?
Just a thought...
The woman was cool. She was rooting for us and put us at the front of the line, after that guy told us we were marginal. That guy was all weird about "showing our talent" - considering I came 14 times last year, (yes they were REAL- I'm blessed with an easy trigger, plus faking orgasms is lame-, and remember we had 3 rounds last year and I think the contest was a little longer in '06) I didn't think we had to prove anything to anyone.

That guys energy is EXACTLY the kind of weirdness I like to shoo away from sexual activities. He was creepy, and I felt a little put off by having him do the "first-impression" security. We had some friends we had convinced to attend GCBEC this year, and they were absolutely freaked out by him... to the point that she didn't even want to take her clothes off (and believe me, she's not shy).

I really enjoy GCBEC, and so does my boyfriend- and we hope to be regulars at it. Our experience together last year really opened doors for us when it came to public play. To V, J Sunshine and Playa Q, thank you for having such an awesome event... maybe though, having the person who makes the "first impression" should be a bit more... kind and tactful? I liked the intelligent banter that precluded entry in '06 instead of a rote demonstration of physicality in '07. That's my .02.

By the way, Tigers, we liked your outfits!

To suggest that I was trying to gain access to the event by "using" a woman is insulting and presumptuous, I went with my girlfriend of a year and this event was one of the only ones we absolutely planned to check out before even getting to black rock. I could have my story corroborated by 6 other people and I am glad that you had a good encounter with the door people but we did not obviously have the same person(s) to interact with. If you had read my post maybe you would have gleaned from it that we were a very interested couple and wanted to enter into an activity like this as comfortably and respectfully as we could because this was new territory for us. This was my third year but it was my girlfriend's first and to have someone come up to her and demand she pull up her skirt was a little abrupt and caught us a bit off guard. And then to add insult to injury he continued to be completely disrespectful when she did not immediately comply to his demand not really in the spirit of mutual respect. I am not bashing the event, understand this. The intention of this post is to draw attention to behavior that the hard working organizers of the GCBEC might want to know about for PR or future planning reasons. To suggest that I was there under any other guise than what I have stated is inflammatory and without base considering YOU weren't with us and you obviously had very different experience at the gate than we did. I don't find it hard to imagine that there were some guys trying what you suggested but don't think you can lump me into that group sight unseen, I at least try to give the benefit of the doubt to people I've never met before making slanderous remarks about their character. I was hoping that Vert would chime in. As I am involved in this project in a small way I too wish to express my feelings for what you went through. Perhaps in 08' we need to brief the door people a little better. There was already a cheerleading team picked out. I read your post carefully and you understood that might be the case. It was the way it was handled that bothered you (and us). A little tact and respect go a long way. Each year there are more contestants than there is room to handle them all. The door staff has the thankless job of attempting to sort out the players from the gawkers. In 06' we fell a little short in that area. It seems that 07' went a little too far. This event has become an icon and none of us wish to see it cease to exist. I hope that you will try again in 08'. If cheerleading is really what you wish to do, perhaps contacting one of us early in the season might be a good start. Sunshine usually gets rolling mid August, I start on sway in July.

Please try again.

Dear Cuntstable:
Our experience was just the opposite of the "Prof". We were interviewed by two people a man and a WOMAN. They asked for proof of our intentions, which were obvious by our dress. Matching tiger chaps, no underwear. We told them who was the beaver and who was the beaver eater. They welcomed us and moved us up to the front. We assumed that this security detail was making sure that all that entered were comfortable being at the event and willing to participate. We can imagine many a fellow who would use a woman to gain access to the event just to be able to see all those beavers. Nothing wrong with looking at beavers, but as we understand it the event is intended to celebrate the pleasuring of the beaver. The woman being used would not be fully aware of what was to go on and would not at all be comfortable showing the beaver in front of all those people. The security detail served to assure that only those women who were willing to participate gained access and foiled the plans of those men who were using them. If this was not part of the official protocol we would recommend that it be added. Having women present who had been coerced into attending would be bad for them and for everyone else there.

It was a great event and everyone associated with it that we encountered was polite, respectful, and fun.

Now I know I may draw the ire of some for posting this but I think it is worth mentioning because of how negative our interaction was with one individual who was manging the line. I had been extremely excited to finally attend the GCBEC this year with my girlfriend after missing it the last two times I had been to burning man. We were excited, if not a bit nervous and thought a good first step would be to go as cheerleaders , and decide on our level of comfort once there because neither of us had attended anything like this but were open to the idea. Now this is where the aforementioned incident occurred. The gentleman, and I use this term very loosely for this individual, who was managing the line neglected to check our ID's initially and then told us to convince him that we were participants and should be let in. We were caught a bit off guard because we weren't 100% prepared to make that decision in line right there nor did we know what he wanted as "proof" so we faltered a bit and tried to explain our intentions. At this point he shuts us down completely and very publicly shouts at us to get out of line, us and several other couples whom we were not with, and continues his rude verbal tirade when we tried to explain ourselves after getting out of line, so as not to look like to everyone who was alerted to our unceremonious ejection, the we weren't trying to be some sort of creepers but were rather a curious couple who wanted to ease themselves into a group situation like that. I know I will get the rebuttal of "participants only" and I completely appreciate and respect that aspect. We came under the impression that cheerleading was acceptable participation and that it would be a good place to start from to get comfortable with the possibility of subsequent active participation. Were not cool with the idea of "proving" our worthyness to some guy who demands to see up my girlfriends skirt as payment for entry. If he had said that the event was filling up and that they were just looking for committed participation and no cheerleaders or whatever then we would have said aww that sucks, well thanks anyways and been on our way. He chose to act in the most disrespectful way one could have in a situation like that and I think it is worth saying something so that at least the info is out there and and people can be aware of the fact that this guy likely made many other people feel like complete pariahs as a result of his inability to extend any respect to those who had shown the respect that was owed to him as a gate keeper.
